Since I the first day I stepped on the campus of Shaw University I have been doing people hair non-stop. Doing hair on the side is my little hustle. The money that I do get from doing hair I can take care of the small things that I need. I can do many styles. I can do an up-do for you, i can braid, twist, curls, lock/start dreads, and the list goes on. My roommate Sheanika was the first hairstyle I did ob the campus of Shaw. It look liked the picture below of Alica Keys. I have also did plenty of perms, wraps, even greased scalps. I believe the Lady Bears Basketball Team love me so much because I was their hair dresser while we was on the road. I made sure they hair was always fresh and looking good. I usually don't charge because doing hair is a hobby and what I like to do. I plan on continuing to do hair and I may even go to Cosmetology School part-time. So if you need someone that need their hair done. I'll be walking around campus. :)

Something about me!

Everyone I'm around talks about the big four letter word: L.O.V.E.!! Especially my roomies. They are always talking about their boyfriends. Even though i know they have their ups and downs but as my roomie says, "Without ups and downs; how can grow and see where their love stands." Hopefully one day I can experience that feeling. I'm ready for love but then again I kind of scared. Even though my mother and father are still married after 17 years, I have seen how love can affect people. You can love someone so much but they don't have to love you back. You can give your all but its up to that significant other to meet you half way in a relationship because I believe in order for a relationships to work there have to be some compromises. You both should me giving 50/50 in a relationship, not 70/30, 60/40 and so on. Also, love is blind. You cant help who love but you should also know each other boundaries. Just listen to the song that India Arie sings. The name is Ready For Love. This song explains why I'm Ready For Love!!

A Vision Of Students Today

I really like this video. I think that they was very creative. I like the way they used everything in the classroom. They use the chairs, chalk boards, notepads, labtop, the students even the teachers. This video voices everything that we are going through. For example, in this video clip there was a boy with a labtop that said, "I buy hunderd dollar textbooks that I never open." I can relate to that specfic subject. Even at Shaw University, I have expericed of buying school books that are not cheap an we don't even use them. If we do, the class probaly use them once through out the class. If I knew, as well as the others, that if we was going to use the textbook once. I would have never bought the book. I could have used the books on other things I need.

This is ME!!

I post this video because it explains me. I may not have the flyest clothes. My hair may not be done all the time, my toes might not be painted or I might not be the size of a model but I'm me. This is how god made me. I embrace "me" to the fullest!

Colleges More Relevant

If schools were more relevant towards students and schools, I believe there would be more successful students in college and in work places today. Times are changing right in front of our eyes, every day, every second.

If college was more relevant towards me today in school I believe that I would be more interesting into going to class and doing my work. I understand that school is supposed to be about learning but its okay to have a little fun.

I believe Shaw is not relevant towards students. I say this because we have many classrooms that we have chalk boards and without computers. Many teachers even said that because of these boards they can’t give us a lot of their information that they think is important to that class. Technology is ruling the world now. Instead of chalk boards we should have smart boards. Teachers would be able to pull up work right in front of our eyes.

I think that books are irrelevant because in college we purchase these books that cost hundreds of dollars but only use them once or twice. Even if I did have to read the books I mostly likely wont because I would end up getting bored and find something else to do. To solve that problem I would ask them to print of the paper or find the info on the internet so we can go look it up. We use the internet everyday in our lives. So why not use something that we use every day.
